Job summary

Daley And Associates, LLC is seeking a Fund Controller to own the fund accounting lifecycle for a diverse set of alternative investment strategies in Boston. You will manage NAVs, financial statements, investor reporting, and audits while coordinating with investment teams and clients.

You will oversee third-party administrators, supervise a junior team, and help streamline valuation processes, budgets, and regulatory filings in a fast-paced, multi-strategy environment.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund finance, or alternative investment operations.
• Strong preference for a combination of public accounting and private industry or fund experience.
• Experience across alternative investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or other private markets.
• Comprehensive understanding of the fund accounting lifecycle and month-end/quarter-end close process.
• Ability to independently own fund accounting processes from start to finish while maintaining strong technical skills.
• Experience working directly with third-party fund administrators.

Responsibilities

• Own fund accounting and the close process, including NAVs, financial statements, investor reporting, and annual audits.
• Oversee third-party fund administrators while remaining hands‑on with accounting, reporting, and operational deliverables.
• Coordinate fund valuations, review direct investment valuations, and prepare materials for valuation committee meetings.
• Partner with investment professionals and client relations on fund-related matters, investor requests, and due diligence.
• Support regulatory reporting, fund budgeting, treasury activities, and investor redemptions.
• Help launch new funds and improve existing accounting processes, controls, and operating procedures.
• Provide guidance to junior team members while helping reduce the day‑to‑day workload of senior leadership.
