Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago is seeking a Consultant for Fund Administration within Integrated Portfolio Services. You will support fund accounting activities, deliver monthly NAV calculations, financial reporting, and assist with annual draft financial statements and audits.

You will partner with clients and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting, review monthly closing summaries, and support audits with external auditors; mentoring junior staff and contributing to projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly fund and business entity closing summaries.
• Analyze and prepare financial information for client and investor reporting.
• Perform month-end NAV and fund accounting activities.
• Prepare annual financial statements for funds.
• Partner with clients and internal teams to understand fund activities and resolve issues.
• Support annual audits and work directly with external auditors.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior team members.
• Participate in projects and initiatives with meaningful client and business impact.
