Qualifications

• 3–7 years experience in private equity, hedge fund, or private fund accounting.
• GAAP knowledge and foundational tax concepts for private funds.
• Familiar with fee calculations, capital activities, and operational best practices.
• Team player with enthusiastic work ethic and quick, comprehensive learning.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; fund administration software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Record accounting entries for cash and accrual activity with accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor investment activity and performance, including roll-forwards.
• Reconcile cash activity and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and assess management fee calculations, allocation schedules, and carried interest models.
• Compile financial statements, annual reports, partner notices, and tax schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third parties, including audit and tax partners; review deliverables.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members to maintain standards of excellence.

Fund Administration Accounting Senior Associate

Your key responsibilities are to deliver white glove service and honor the FSG Principles while:

• Recording accounting entries based on both cash and accrual activity, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Monitoring investment activity and performance, including preparing roll-forwards
• Reconciling cash activity and investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Preparing and critically assessing management fee calculations, allocation schedules, and carried interest models
• Compiling financial statements, annual reports, partner notices, and tax schedules
• Coordinating and liaising with internal team members and third parties, including audit and tax partners, serving as a reviewer of their deliverables
• Supporting the onboarding and training of new team members, providing guidance and oversight to maintain standards of excellence

Our requirements for you as an applicant are simple:

• Experience (3–7 years) in private equity, hedge fund, and/or private fund accounting
• Developed understanding of GAAP and foundational knowledge of private fund specific tax concepts
• Knowledge of key concepts such as fee calculations, capital activities, and operational best practices

• Quarterly bonus that offers unlimited potential growth - 1/3rd of our profits (no matter how much) are shared with our team in bonuses each quarter

We are primarily a remote work company, but some of the training for this role may be best delivered in-person leveraging client sites or local coworking locations. Our clients also ask us to provide on-site support from time-to-time.
