Job summary

MBO Partners is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager - Fund Accounting to oversee NAV production, fund reporting, and internal control processes. You will work with Fund Accountants and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial statements under US GAAP.

Responsibilities include coordinating audits, managing waterfall calculations, and driving process improvements and automation while mentoring staff. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience collaborating with Fund Accountants and cross-functional teams.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with investment fund software such as Investran, Geneva, OneSource, DFIN Arc Reporting.
• Strong relationship-building with internal and external partners.
• Understanding of NAV drivers and performance measurement.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP as required.
• Experience with complex fund structures (master funds, feeder funds, blocker entities).
• Willingness to work additional hours and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarterly NAV production, including reporting and accounting.
• Coordinate and lead the Fund audit process with external auditors.
• Manage partnership transactions, including waterfall and carried interest.
• Account for fund purchases and sales through their life cycles.
• Ensure Fund and investments conform to US GAAP and other applicable GAAP.
• Analyze monthly/quarterly fund performance and forecast future results.
• Produce cash flow, ROI, and profitability analyses for portfolio managers.
• Prepare and monitor covenants; report debt position to management.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Lead process and system enhancements; pursue automation and standardization.
• Mentor and develop staff; conduct year-end reviews.
