Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Fund Accounting Supervisor to lead accounting and operations for private equity funds, mentoring a small team and coordinating with clients.

You will own fund NAVs, capital calls, distributions, waterfalls and related reporting, with scope across SPVs, blockers, and co-investments; 2-3 days in the Boston office.

This role offers ownership, career growth, and a path to senior leadership within a growing platform serving sophisticated managers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of private equity fund accounting, administration or investment company accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with waterfalls, allocations and complex fund structures.
• Experience reviewing financial statements and fund deliverables.
• Comfortable working directly with LPAs and other governing documents.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fund accounting and day-to-day operations for assigned clients.
• Execute capital calls, distributions and investor allocations.
• Manage waterfalls, fees and fund economics.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle complex fund structures (SPVs, blockers, parallel funds, AIVs).
• Review LPAs, side letters and governing documents.
• Review NAVs, financial reporting and complex transactions.
• Directly communicate with clients and senior leadership.
• Mentor and review work of junior team members.
• Lead new fund launches and process improvements.

We’re hiring a Fund Accounting Supervisor to join a growing private equity fund administration platform supporting sophisticated alternative investment managers across private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, energy and other strategies.

You’ll independently oversee the accounting and operations of private equity funds while leading and developing a small team. Rather than being limited to one piece of the process, you’ll have exposure across the full fund lifecycle.

What you’ll own:

• Fund accounting and day-to-day operations for assigned clients
• Capital calls, distributions and investor allocations
• Waterfalls, management fees and fund economics
• Quarterly and annual financial statements
• Complex fund structures including SPVs, blockers, parallel funds, AIVs and co-investments
• Review and interpretation of LPAs, side letters and governing documents
• Review of NAVs, financial reporting and complex transactions
• Direct communication with clients and senior leadership
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
