Job summary

3 Bridge Networks seeks a Fund Controller to lead fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance for its private equity activities. The role works closely with the CFO, investment professionals, investor relations, and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in private equity or alternative investments, CPA preferred, and a hands-on, collaborative approach to building scalable fund finance processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, fund administration, or alternatives.
• Strong knowledge of private equity fund accounting, partnership accounting, capital calls, distributions, fees, carried interest, and investor reporting.
• Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, tax providers, and external partners.
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting or reporting systems.
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Polished communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple PE funds and related entities.
• Manage quarterly and annual close processes, including NAV review and financial statements.
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest allocations, and investment activity.
• Coordinate with third-party fund administrators for accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review investor reporting and LP deliverables.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax processes with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Support cash management, capital activity, and liquidity planning.
• Strengthen fund accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting processes.
• Assist with fundraising, investor diligence, and strategic initiatives.
• Serve as a resource to internal teams across functions; mentor junior staff.

A growing private equity firm is seeking a Fund Controller to lead its fund accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance activities. This is a highly visible position that will work closely with the CFO, investment professionals, investor relations, and external service providers.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant with private equity or alternative investment experience who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting across multiple private equity funds and related entities
• Manage the quarterly and annual close process, including review of NAV calculations, financial statements, capital account statements, and supporting schedules
• Review capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest allocations, expense allocations, and investment activity
• Partner closely with third-party fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Prepare and review investor reporting, fund financial statements, and other limited partner deliverables
• Coordinate annual audits and tax processes with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators
• Support cash management, capital activity, and fund liquidity planning
• Maintain and strengthen fund accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting processes
• Assist with fundraising, investor diligence, and other strategic firm initiatives
• Serve as a key resource to internal investment, legal, tax, finance, and operations teams
• Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, as applicable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful private equity, venture capital, hedge fund, fund administration, or alternative investment experience
• Strong understanding of private equity fund accounting, partnership accounting, capital calls, distributions, management fees, carried interest, and investor reporting
• Experience working with fund administrators, auditors, tax providers, and other outside partners
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with fund accounting or reporting systems
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Polished communicator with a collaborative, hands-on approach
