Job summary

The Salvation Army Corps - Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage all Corps and CSRC accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and FASB standards. You will maintain ledgers, post entries, and prepare month-end reports for multiple programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Additionally, you will serve as the financial liaison to the Finance Committee and provide timely financial data to the Advisory Board, upholding the integrity of fiscal records and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
Two years experience in complex bookkeeping with computerized systems.
Experience with double-entry fund accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and administer Corps and CSRC accounting functions in line with policy and GAAP/ FASB standards.
Maintain ledgers for multiple programs and post entries to computerized systems.
Prepare month-end reports and financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
Liaise with Finance Committee and provide financial data to the Advisory Board.
Ensure integrity and security of financial records.
