Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its Private Equity & Hedge Fund Accounting Teams. The primary goal is to provide exceptional accounting, administration, and client service to hedge and private equity fund customers.

The Fund Accounting Manager will be responsible for accounting operations and the resolution of accounting issues for clients. Russell Tobin offers a collaborative environment where you will lead a team, oversee fund onboarding, coordinate year-end audits,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the fund services industry.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main client contact and oversee offshore and domestic fund accounting for alternative funds.
• Manage fund team delegation, onboarding of new fund setups, and liaison between clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate year-end audits and GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Perform due diligence to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review month-end valuations and authorize wire payments from fund escrow accounts.
• Communicate with investment managers on fund activities and issues.
• Collaborate with technology and vendor teams to resolve system issues.
• Conduct performance appraisals, career development, and staffing planning.
