Job summary

Thomas, Edwards Group seeks a Senior Fund Accountant in Fort Worth, TX. You will manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for private equity and hedge funds, under the fund accounting manager.

This hybrid role requires strong GAAP knowledge, journal entries, reconciliations, and liaison with auditors and tax advisors to deliver accurate monthly closes and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with accounting experience.
• 2+ years in public accounting or financial services.
• Experience with partnership accounting and multi-tier entities.
• General ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, sumifs, pivots).
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Post cash and non-cash transactions daily in maintenance of the general ledger.
• Perform bank, brokerage account and other general ledger account reconciliations or analyses.
• Monitor cash balances daily and assist with cash management.
• Prepare various reports or analyses for management and investors.
• Record investment valuations, asset acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Complete the monthly close procedures and deliverables per GAAP/tax basis.
• Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, compliance officers, and external fund advisors.
• Assist with tax estimates or returns.
• Support ad hoc reporting or special projects as necessary.
