Job summary

Golub Capital in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting professional to lead accounting and reporting for multiple investment funds, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate investor reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA is strongly encouraged.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in the financial services industry (e.g., private equity, leveraged finance, hedge fund).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel required.
• A mix of public accounting and industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Workday, Wall Street Office, Geneva and similar packages is a strong plus.
• Exceptional team orientation and collaboration skills, prior people leadership experience preferred.
• Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and reporting for multiple funds, ensuring GAAP compliance and alignment with partnership agreements.
• Assist in launching new funds, reviewing documents and coordinating with IT to support fund mechanics.
• Manage fund-level expenses, including management and incentive fees and accruals.
• Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and monthly reporting packages for private funds.
• Support investor reporting and respond to investor requests with quarterly statements.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators for NAV production and related processes.
• Develop strong relationships with administrators to meet quality and timeliness goals.
• Drive capital calls and distributions analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Support financial statement preparation and audits.
