Job summary

SS&C Technologies is seeking a Manager, Fund Accounting to lead a team delivering comprehensive fund administration for alternative investment clients. You will supervise accounting and reporting for private equity, hedge funds, and real estate funds, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with Advent Geneva, PFS-PAXUS, and Investran.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive fund accounting experience with at least 3 years in leadership within alternative investments.
• Strong GAAP and IFRS knowledge and ability to manage a team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with fund accounting software Advent Geneva, PFS-PAXUS, Investran and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly accounting and reporting processes for alternative investment funds, including private equity, hedge funds, and/or real estate funds.
• Manage a team of fund accountants, including performance management, training, and development.
• Review and approve complex journal entries, capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, investor reports, and regulatory filings.
• Lead client communication and relationship management, acting as a primary point of contact for complex accounting inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement best practices for fund accounting processes and controls.
• Stay current with industry trends, ASC 946, and regulatory changes impacting alternative investments.
• Participate in new client onboarding and due diligence processes.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation.
