SS&C Technologies is seeking an Associate Director to oversee the accounting and administration of multiple private equity funds, focusing on financial reporting, investor allocations, and waterfall calculations for demanding clients. The role combines deep fund accounting expertise with client service and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds.
• 3+ years supervising two or more professional staff.
• Hands-on management style with strong leadership skills.
• Directly responsible for hiring and termination decisions and ongoing feedback.
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fund relationships with client deliverables.
• Coordinate timelines with staff and manage client expectations.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of accounting for alternative investment funds, esp. private equity.
• Participate in new business discussions with prospects and clients.
• Prepare development plans and conduct semiannual performance appraisals.
• Provide guidance to staff on technical and client-service topics.
• Review fund documents and investment transactions for proper fund terms.
• Oversee year-end audit process with client and auditors.
