Job summary

Spero CFO in Provo, Utah seeks a Fund Accounting Manager to own multi-vehicle fund accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and team leadership. You will work directly with GPs, investment professionals, and institutional stakeholders, guiding a small team and coordinating with external auditors.

This on-site role requires 3+ years in fund accounting or fund administration, supervisory experience, and a strong command of LPAs, waterfalls, capital accounts, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• Experience supervising or managing at least one team member.
• Experience interpreting LPAs and side letters and applying complex deal terms.
• Strong Excel skills and financial reporting knowledge.
• Interest in applying AI/automation tools in accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own fund accounting and reporting across multiple investment vehicles and client relationships.
• Manage allocations, capital activity, waterfalls, and investor capital accounts.
• Interpret LPAs and side letters and translate terms into accurate calculations.
• Perform reconciliations, intercompany balances, and related accounting activity.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support year-end audits.
• Review team work and strengthen accounting processes and controls.
• Communicate professionally with GPs, investment teams, and institutional investors.
• Manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities with accuracy.
• Leverage Excel and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency and insights.
