Job summary

Spero CFO in Provo, Utah seeks a Fund Accounting Manager to own multi-vehicle fund accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and team leadership. You will work directly with GPs, investment professionals, and institutional stakeholders, guiding a small team and coordinating with external auditors.

This on-site role requires 3+ years in fund accounting or fund administration, supervisory experience, and a strong command of LPAs, waterfalls, capital accounts, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• Experience supervising or managing at least one team member.
• Experience interpreting LPAs and side letters and applying complex deal terms.
• Strong Excel skills and financial reporting knowledge.
• Interest in applying AI/automation tools in accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Manage multiple clients, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
• Use advanced Excel and modern technology, including AI-enabled tools and workflows, to improve efficiency and insight.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• Experience within private equity, real estate, venture capital, credit, or similar private investment structures.
• Prior experience supervising or managing at least one team member.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, capital accounts, allocations, waterfalls, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience interpreting LPAs, side letters, and complex deal terms.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong client-facing communication and organizational skills.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• Interest in learning and applying AI and automation tools within accounting workflows.
