Senior Accounting / Fund Accounting Professional – Investment Management Firm
Our client, a fast-growing investment management firm, is seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to join their expanding team. This is a high-impact role for someone with a strong background in both public and private accounting and direct experience supporting credit funds. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Base pay
$75.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Responsibilities
- Lead and execute fund accounting activities for credit funds, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives and help streamline accounting operations across multiple funds.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications
- 7–15 years of accounting experience, with a mix of public and private accounting preferred.
- Direct experience supporting credit funds is required.
- CPA designation is a plus but not required.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in fund structures, valuations, and complex financial instruments.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
