Atlas Search in New York is seeking an Assistant Controller-level candidate with 4–7 years in fund accounting to own a large private equity real estate fund and broaden exposure beyond NAVs and financial statements.
You will oversee the fund administrator, manage capital calls and liquidity, and participate in forecasting, treasury, and investor reporting, while mentoring junior staff toward leadership roles.
New York, NY
What if your next fund accounting role gave you ownership of the fund — not just responsibility for the close?
I’m working on an Assistant Controller opportunity with a leading global alternative investment platform in New York. This is a strong fit for a fund accounting Senior or Manager who enjoys the technical side of accounting but wants to broaden their experience across the full lifecycle of a private equity real estate fund.
The biggest differentiator: this is not a role where you’ll spend your career buried in NAVs and financial statements.
You’ll have exposure across fund accounting, operations, liquidity, investor reporting, treasury, credit facilities, waterfalls, capital activity, forecasting, and oversight of the third-party administrator.
Someone with roughly 4–7 years of accounting experience who has built a strong foundation in fund accounting and is ready for more ownership.
Private equity real estate fund experience is highly preferred, and a mix of public accounting and industry experience can translate particularly well. CPA and Investran experience are both pluses.
“I’m ready to own more than just the accounting.”
“I want broader exposure without completely leaving my fund accounting background behind.”
“I want my next role to give me a clearer path toward senior leadership.”
If you’ve reached the point where you want your next move to expand your career rather than simply give you the same responsibilities at a different firm, this is worth a conversation.
