Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking a Fund Accountant for its Los Angeles, CA office. The role involves supporting the fund administrator, reviewing financials and partner capital statements across funds, and coordinating quarterly reviews and audits.

You will also help with valuation models for the Private Equity portfolio, manage credit facilities and bank accounts, process wires and journal entries, and assist with LP presentations and investor communications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of fund accounting experience.
• Hedge fund/private equity industry experience.
• Public (Big 4) or combo accounting background.
• Motivated, mature, and hardworking.
• Organized with a keen attention to detail.
• Skilled in Excel and technically savvy.

Responsibilities

• Work with the fund administrator on multiple functions.
• Review fund financials and partner capital statements for all funds.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and audits.
• Coordinate and review valuation models of the Private Equity portfolio.
• Manage the funds’ credit facilities and open/close bank accounts.
• Process wires and related journal entries, as well as bank reconciliations.
• Monitor the accounting mailbox and respond daily to investor requests.
• Aid in the preparation of LP presentations and quarterly investor letters.
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.
