Job summary

GCM Grosvenor in Chicago seeks a Fund Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for a diverse set of hedge funds, private equity and private credit funds. The role involves overseeing external administrators, preparing reports and ensuring accurate NAVs.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years in financial services, a BA/BS in accounting or finance, and preferably CPA. Strong Excel and portfolio software experience are required; the firm offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting/Finance with strong academics.
• Experience in financial services or audits is preferred.
• Experience with ledger and portfolio software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and reconciliations for multi-asset portfolios.
• Process investment activities across public and private assets including debt and equity.
• Review valuations for Level I–III securities.
• Prepare internal and external reporting and performance analysis.
• Oversee third-party administrators and fee calculations.
• Coordinate with service providers for filings and statements.
• Serve as primary contact between GCM Grosvenor and sponsors.
• Collaborate with legal, tax, treasury, client services and investments teams.
• Lead process improvements and ad-hoc requests.
