SUMMARY

As a key member of the Absolute Return Strategies Fund Accounting & Analysis team, this role is responsible for fund accounting and investment analysis for our managed partnerships and client accounts. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of fund operations, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

As an onsite/hybrid employee, you are expected to be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform day-to-day fund accounting and financial reporting for investment partnerships and managed accounts.
• Analyze and synthesize internal and external financial data to create client reports and deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between GCM Grosvenor and underlying fund managers/administrators to ensure accurate performance tracking.
• Calculate and validate underlying manager performance metrics with precision.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, audit support, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Conduct analytical review of weekly and monthly fund performance and investor reports.
• Support investment and client service teams by responding to ad hoc data requests.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with outstanding academic credentials.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial services, asset management, or public accounting, with a focus on investment partnerships, hedge funds, or private equity.
• Technical proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with PowerBI preferred.
• Accounting experience in hedge funds or alternative investments is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance is a plus.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
