LHH is seeking a Fund Accountant for a growing financial services organization located in Chicago's West Loop. The Fund Accountant will support day-to-day fund accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and investment-related accounting activities.

Candidates with direct fund accounting experience are highly preferred; however, those with strong general ledger and financial reporting experience in asset management, investment management, private equity, banking, or other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Fund accounting experience highly preferred.
• Candidates with general accounting experience in financial services will be considered.
• Experience in asset management or related environments is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of GL, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Exposure to NAV calculations or capital activity is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

Responsabilités

• Assist with accounting records for investment funds and related entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries; maintain general ledger activity.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform cash, bank, investment, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with fund-level activity, including NAV calculations.
• Track investment activity and capital activity; prepare fund financial statements.
• Support investor reporting and schedules; respond to audit requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed.
