Job summary

A top Hedge Fund is seeking an Accounting Associate to join their expanding team in the North Chicago Suburbs. This hybrid role includes reviewing trading activities, ensuring accurate NAVs, and producing investor reports. Candidates should have a degree in Finance or Accounting, relevant experience in asset management, and strong Excel skills. Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in accounting for private equity, private credit, hedge fund, or public accounting firm.
• CPA qualification or relevant finance/accounting experience in asset management.

Responsibilities

• Review and report daily trading activity, profit and loss, and fund performance.
• Work with our fund administrator to ensure monthly NAVs are accurate and timely.
• Prepare valuations of investments per accounting rules and policies.
• Assist in producing reports for investors, regulators, and teams.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors during year-end.
• Support the trading team with special private deals.
• Suggest ways to improve processes and controls.
