Job summary

Apexon is seeking a Functional Tester in Mechanicsburg, PA to join its QA team. You will perform end-to-end testing of health and human services web applications, write and execute test scenarios, and document defects with clear traceability.

This onsite role requires collaboration across cross-functional teams and strong problem-solving under deadlines. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of testing experience, familiarity with IE rules (TANF/Medicaid/SNAP), and solid SQL querying skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of end-to-end software testing experience with defect documentation.
• Experience testing Health and Human Services Integrated Eligibility rules.
• Strong knowledge of white-box, black-box, coverage, and regression testing.
• Experience testing batches, interfaces (flat files, SOAP UI), reports, and data conversion.
• Able to write and modify moderately complex SQL queries to validate DB results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Review system documentation and identify test objectives.
• Develop and update test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional and regression tests for web applications.
• Analyze and document defects clearly against requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve issues.
• Prepare failed test case reports and peer review feedback.
