Job summary

GA-Intelligence is seeking an experienced Functional Group Manager to lead the Project and Program Management function, overseeing 20-40 PMs and PgMs across our Solutions and Product teams. The role focuses on people management, workforce development, and strategic staffing within a matrix organization.

You will partner with Solutions and Product leadership on workforce allocation, lead hiring efforts, and drive excellence in the PM discipline through training and professional development

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related discipline with fifteen+ years of progressively complex experience in project administration, including at least nine years in project management.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing project/program managers from junior to senior levels.
• Experience with budget planning and forecasting and understanding how project financials contribute to overall company finances.
• Experience conducting performance reviews and managing career development.
• Experience recruiting and interviewing PM talent.
• Strong technical background with ability to discuss technical topics credibly with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as administrative supervisor and 'home room' manager for 20-40 project/program managers.
• Aggregate performance feedback and execute performance reviews.
• Establish and maintain career paths for PM disciplines.
• Design and deliver PM training programs, onboarding and upskilling PMs.
• Coordinate experimentation with emerging technologies to augment the PM role.
• Organize and support communities of interest to share learnings and best practices.
• Make strategic staffing decisions and balance employee growth with business priorities.
• Lead hiring efforts for PM roles and coordinate with Talent Acquisition.
• Create onboarding materials and coordinate structured onboarding for new hires.
