Job Description

The Functional Business Consultant serves as a business system or business process subject matter expert for their assigned area. This position will represent their area of expertise regarding business system knowledge on internal and client projects, regulatory requirements, process improvement, advanced research, root cause analysis, complex issue research, documentation, communications, client interaction, training, testing, ongoing system support, and developing reports and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities
  • Represent assigned business system or process as a subject matter expert in developing business requirements, system specifications, process flows, process change, and project management.
  • Support and improve existing applications and processes related to the assigned business system by working directly with business, IT, and users.
  • Research and resolve business and technical problems, identifying and implementing process and application improvements.
  • Conduct testing, including creating test plans, test cases, performing User Acceptance Testing, and Joint Cycle Testing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, project management, or process improvement, including 1 year of functional experience in relevant areas (e.g., claims, eligibility, benefits).
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa or residency sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience establishing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical and medical claims data; highly analytical.
  • Self-motivated to learn new processes/software.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, conflict management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Rx Claims system proficiency.
  • Experience in PBM or healthcare.
  • Query usage experience.
Physical Demands
  • Occasional non-standard hours and travel.
  • Prolonged sitting, handling, talking, hearing, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Visual acuity requirements.

Salary ranges from $66,000 to $106,000 based on experience and skills. Benefits details available on our Benefits Page.
