The opportunity

Alliances are critical to EY’s go-to-market strategy. To meet revenue targets, we focus on strategic programs within our alliances. The Global Functional Alliance Relationship Associate Director (ARD) for Microsoft will focus on EY’s Cyber strategy and solutions with Microsoft, working with global and regional leaders to define and execute our Cyber strategy, and collaborate with Microsoft sales and engineering teams to drive joint go-to-market efforts. Responsibilities include coaching on Cyber solutions, identifying target markets, sales messaging, and conducting business reviews with analytics/insights.

Your key responsibilities

Your role resides within the Alliance and Ecosystem Relationship team, overseeing top EY alliances. The Microsoft ARD will work closely with EY’s Alliances leadership, account, and business development teams to coordinate campaign objectives.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  1. Designing Microsoft Cyber GTM campaign strategy and program elements.
  2. Collaborating with EY Cyber leadership and the Alliance team on campaign components (relationship map, governance, contracts, resale, etc.).
  3. Identifying target account strategies with Global and Regional Go-To-Market Leaders, Alliance Relationship Directors, and Sector/solution leaders.
  4. Developing messaging and value propositions, securing alignment and buy-in from the Alliance.
  5. Working with Brand, Marketing, and Communication teams on sales collateral, marketing strategy, and enablement materials, including event coordination.
  6. Tracking technical development (demos, tech assets) with internal tech teams and the Alliance Practice.
  7. Activating regional awareness sessions.
  8. Engaging with Regional Microsoft Go-to-Market Leaders to secure support and identify regional leads to own sales efforts.
  9. Incubating target accounts and expanding sales motions with Alliance Client Executives.
  10. Providing pre-sales support for early-stage deals.
  11. Driving cadence with EY and Microsoft executives, escalating issues as needed.
  12. Overseeing campaign governance, sales, and pipeline discipline from setup to execution.

This role is based in the US, with a mix of virtual work and regular coordination across regions. Minimal travel may be required.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Strong multi-tasking and enablement skills in alliance partner management, business development, marketing, contracts, financials, content, governance, and operations.
  • Understanding of Microsoft cyber solutions and business benefits.
  • Experience in business development or alliance management within tech or professional services.
  • Excellent networking, influence, and relationship-building skills to drive results across organizational boundaries.
  • Credibility in communication, organization, project management, and proven success in alliance sales and revenue growth.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Proven success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits, with salaries ranging from $200,000 to $385,000 nationally, and higher in NYC, Washington State, and California. Salaries are determined by education, experience, skills, and location. Benefits include medical/dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
