Job summary

Uber Freight is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to design and build end-to-end systems powering our logistics platform. You will work across backend services and React-based web interfaces, collaborating with product, design, and data science to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

You will contribute to architectural decisions, champion coding best practices, and help shape the roadmap for a high-impact transport marketplace used across North America.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience across backend and frontend.
• Strong coding skills in Go, Java, Python, or C++ and React/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end applications: design, develop, and maintain scalable fullstack services and interfaces using Go/Java and React.
• Lead system architecture: drive technical design and architectural decisions for frontend and backend components.
• Champion engineering excellence: promote testing, security, maintainability, and robust deployment pipelines.
• Drive scoping & product delivery: collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science to define technical scope and deliver complex features.
• Shape the technical roadmap: identify debt, bottlenecks, and opportunities for long-term platform improvements.
• Own production health: troubleshoot and resolve cross-layer issues in production.
