Job summary

Roadie, a UPS company, is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to build and evolve the driver-facing web applications and RoadieXD platform. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver high-impact features and scalable services.

You’ll work with React on the frontend and Go/Ruby on the backend, developing APIs, performance improvements, and robust, well-tested software. This role supports Roadie’s nationwide network and logistics scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production applications.
• Experience developing scalable systems and APIs in production environments.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Ruby, Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience working with a modern frontend framework, ideally React.
• Track record of building reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Sound technical judgment and ability to balance immediate needs with long-term maintainability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, and other teams.
• Curiosity, ownership, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test full-stack features that improve the driver experience.
• Develop APIs and services supporting RoadieXD and geospatial capabilities.
• Build internal and customer-facing tools in React to scale operations.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to solve logistics challenges and deliver features.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable code with automated tests and code reviews.
• Improve existing systems for performance and developer experience.
