Job summary

Physical Intelligence is building AI for the physical world and seeks an engineer to own annotation tooling and end‑to‑end production workflows. You will design interfaces, pipelines, and dashboards for researchers and operators across lab, warehouse, and real‑world deployments.

You’ll ship reliable frontend, backend, and cloud services while coordinating with researchers to translate needs into scalable software.

Qualifications

Strong full stack engineering experience building production web applications and APIs.
Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and analytical systems (ClickHouse).
Familiarity with cloud and containerized environments such as GCP and Kubernetes.
Ability to design workflows where people, models, and software function as one system.
Experience working directly with users, iterating from feedback and evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

Own annotation tooling: build platform and workflows for annotation generation and pipelines.
Make annotation legible: track quality, cost, throughput, and coverage for researchers.
Own researcher request and planning workflows: redesign workflows and build capacity/tradeoff insights.
Build research and ops‑facing tooling: dashboards, dataset browsing, and throughput/quality tracking.
Act as your own PM: gather requirements, prioritize, write specs, ship tools, drive adoption.
Ship production‑quality software: frontend interfaces, backend APIs, data models, dashboards, cloud services.
