Job summary

Nextdoor is seeking a Fullstack Engineer for the Local Conversations team to build product experiences that drive meaningful neighborhood participation. You’ll work across frontend and backend with a focus on React and Python/Django, contributing to architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration.

You will collaborate with product, design and engineering teams, participate in on-call rotations after onboarding, and help shape scalable web experiences while leveraging AI tools in daily

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience and ability to own projects with increasing independence.
• Strong frontend fundamentals and experience with modern JavaScript and React.
• Experience with a server-side web application language; Python/Django strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL and developing across frontend and backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with frontend, backend, data science, infrastructure, and ML engineers to improveNextdoor's engineering state.
• Develop high-quality web experiences using React and Python/Django.
• Engage in entity-relationship modeling, solution architecture, implementation, testing and iteration.
• Participate in team operating practices including on-call shadow rotation after onboarding.
