Job summary

Talently is seeking a frontend-focused software engineer in New York with 6+ years of experience to build fast, well-structured experiences in React and TypeScript.

You will own features end-to-end, from component and state management through API integration and deployment.

Build fast, well-structured frontend experiences in React and TypeScript

Own features end-to-end — from component and state management through API integration and deployment.

Contribute to backend APIs using Python and FastAPI

Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clean, usable interfaces

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and engineering standards

Mentor other engineers and advocate for frontend quality across the team

Navigate two distinct frontend contexts — our RCM product is a React/TypeScript SPA; our Marketplace app is Django server-rendered with bundled JS

6+ years of software engineering experience with a frontend focus

Deep expertise in React and TypeScript

Solid understanding of UI fundamentals — layout, performance, and state management

Hands-on experience with TanStack Router and TanStack Query (or strong opinions about routing and data fetching you're ready to apply)

Backend range to build and maintain Python/FastAPI endpoints and data models

Strong instincts for product quality, strong attention to detail and judgement to around implementation decisions

Familiarity with coding agents and can articulate where they work well, where they fail, and how their workflow has evolved around them
