Job summary

OvrScope, Inc. is seeking a product engineer to work across Next.js frontend and FastAPI backend on features contractors use daily: the supplement editor, the claims CRM, payload versioning, and real-time job tracking.

This is a product engineering role with real autonomy. You will talk to customers, scope the work, and ship it.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web applications.
• Deep experience with TypeScript and React.
• Comfort in a Python backend and a relational database, including schema design.
• Owned features end to end, including follow-up bugs.
• Bias toward shipping small and measuring.

Responsibilities

• Build user-facing features across Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Supabase.
• Design and implement backend endpoints in FastAPI with Postgres and row-level security.
• Own quality: tests, error handling, and instrumentation for the features you build.

Build

• Ship user-facing features across Next.js App Router, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Supabase.
• Design and implement backend endpoints in FastAPI with Postgres and row-level security.
• Own quality: tests, error handling, and instrumentation for the features you build.

Improve

• Reduce the friction in flows that touch money — supplements, tokens, and billing.
• Refactor as you go instead of asking for a rewrite quarter.

Requirements

• 5+ years building production web applications, with real depth in TypeScript and React.
• Comfort in a Python backend and a relational database, including schema design.
• You have owned features end to end, including the follow-up bugs.
• A bias toward shipping small and measuring.
