Job summary

Bertrandt Group is seeking a Full Vehicle Technician to support elevated garage workload on prototype vehicles. You will diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical systems, fabricate prototype components, and maintain thorough records.

You’ll install instrumentation, support test equipment, and test-drive prototypes, reporting to the Garage Manager and senior technicians. The role requires extensive automotive technician experience, strong EV knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Experience with electric and hybrid vehicles is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
• Understanding of zonal vehicle architecture and high-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with CAN and LIN networks.
• Experience with fabrication and instrumentation.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CMV and tow training is a plus.

Job Type: Temporary.

Pay Range: $40 to $50 hourly.

The role of the Full Vehicle Technician is to support increased garage workload by diagnosing and repairing prototype vehicle electrical and mechanical systems; fabricating or modifying prototype components and fixtures; maintaining detailed work records; supporting instrumentation and test-equipment installation; and test-driving prototype vehicles. Maintain close communication with the Garage Manager and lead technicians regarding workload, personnel, equipment issues, and needs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional automotive technician experience
• Experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles (required)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
