Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging, LLC in Prosper, TX is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist for a full-time role in a busy outpatient setting. You will perform diagnostic X-ray examinations, verify orders, position patients, and ensure comfort, safety, and high-quality images while delivering exceptional patient care.

This position offers cross-training into CT or MRI for motivated individuals. Work is Monday–Friday, no weekends or on-call, with collaboration across radiologists and staff

Qualifications

• Current Texas MRT General certification required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations following protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, obtain history.
• Position patients for optimal image quality while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Educate patients about exams and answer questions.
• Maintain documentation in RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control and ensure safe, efficient imaging equipment operation.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, referring providers, and team members.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities arise.
• Assist with departmental workflow as assigned.

X-Ray Technologist

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Prosper, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday–Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call

Requirements

• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
• ARRT (R) certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols
• Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned
