Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging, LLC in Denton, TX is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. The role involves performing high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations and delivering exceptional patient care, with opportunities to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated individuals.

The position is part-time (1–2 days per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with no weekends or on-call.

Qualifications

• Current MRT General certification with Texas Medical Board is required.
• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations per established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain patient history.
• Position patients for optimal imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Educate patients about the exam and address questions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in RIS/PACS and EMR.
• Follow radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA and OSHA policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and maintain competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI when opportunities arise.
• Assist with departmental workflow as needed.

X-Ray Technologist

Position Summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills.

Schedule

• Part-time
• 1-2 days per week, Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekends or on-call

Requirements

• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable)
• ARRT (R) certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Excellent patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols
• Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficientlyAdhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned
