Job summary

Rexel USA in Portland, OR is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Branch Driver to join the Platt team. You will fill customer orders, receive and stock materials, and support branch operations with safety and efficiency.

This role includes a substantial driving component (up to 50%) delivering to customers and locations. No CDL required, but forklift and basic warehouse skills are essential.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Prior warehouse experience a plus
• Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 30 days of hire
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• High School or GED - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment
• Follow established SOPs, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and address safety concerns
• Receive material and verify quantity/description against packing list
• Keep incoming orders stocked and report freight damage
• Prepare branch orders and ensure correct product is shipped
• Process shipment paperwork and ensure accurate delivery
• Operate forklift, reach truck, and wire cutting machine when required
• Load common carrier and company vehicles
• Inspect and maintain equipment
• Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Operate delivery vehicles for customer, branch, and supplier deliveries
• Complete daily vehicle inspection and keep vehicle clean
• Follow DOT and local/state driving laws
• Load/unload and verify material for each order
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Collect delivery documentation and packing lists
• Inspect materials on returns and from suppliers
• Mentor entry-level drivers and support branch duties as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
