Job summary

The Tunnel To Towers Foundation is seeking an experienced Porter to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming Veterans Village environment. This full-time role supports daily cleaning, waste removal, laundry areas, and light maintenance to help homeless veterans and staff.

You must be able to work independently, follow safety procedures, and interact professionally with participants and visitors. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are preferred, with physical ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of general cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize facilities common areas, offices, conference rooms, restrooms, hallways, stairwells, and community spaces.
• Replenish restroom supplies including soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and hygiene products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply closets and storage areas; safely store chemicals and janitorial equipment.
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash, recycling, and debris.
• Empty waste receptacles; maintain dumpster and refuse areas.
• Assist with laundry rooms and laundry equipment areas.
• Monitor common areas for cleanliness and safety concerns.
• Ensure property presents a professional and welcoming appearance.
• Follow OSHA and safety procedures; support emergency preparedness.
