Job summary

A nonprofit organization is seeking a Porter to maintain cleanliness and safety in facilities. Qualifications

• Experience working with a disadvantaged population is a plus.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
• Willing to become certified as a Fire Safety Coordinator is desired.

Responsibilities

• Reports issues to the Facility Manager and completes work orders.
• Cleans and sanitizes all assigned vacant units within 4 hours.
• Maintains cleanliness of public areas and workspaces.

Skills

Ability to lift at least fifty pounds

Familiarity with basic cleaning equipment

Skills in repair and technical knowledge

Positive interaction skills

Education

High School Diploma or GED
