Job summary

The Salvation Army Midtown Services and Treatment Center in Missouri is seeking a full-time Treatment Support Specialist. You will monitor all activities within Detox, Residential, and Outpatient programs, performing duties of an Associate Substance Abuse Counselor to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

This 40-hour per week role includes requirements such as a high school diploma, one year of experience, and timely certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of work experience.
• Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor certification is preferred or required within 60 days.
• CPR certification is required at time of hire or soon after.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Perform breathalyzer and urinalysis tests.
• Orient clients at admission into the program.
• Conduct financial screenings and intake screenings.
• Answer phones and manage waitlists or referrals.
• Counsel detox clients on treatment options and refer to MAT when appropriate.
• Lead group counseling sessions for Residential or Outpatient programs.
