Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for the Averill Warehouse in Flint. This full-time role manages schedules and dock operations to meet pickups and deliveries, with driving responsibilities when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan CDL with 53ft endorsements, has a clean driving record, and has logistics or supervisory experience. Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and a safety mindset are required; union knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan CDL with endorsements to drive a 53ft semi and box truck.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass Clearinghouse check.
• Logistics/supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of unions preferred.
• Strong MS Word and Excel skills; safety focused.
• Show initiative, good judgment and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Direct work to meet pickup and delivery schedules.
• Assist in dock area management in supervisor's absence.
• Train and evaluate dock personnel.
• Maintain dock area housekeeping and safety practices.
• Monitor trash compactor and monitor salvage operations.
• Operate 53ft semi/box truck when required.
