Job summary

Pritchard Industries is seeking a Temporary Groundskeeper to maintain school grounds including lawns, athletic fields, parking lots, and walkways. You will operate and maintain mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related tools to keep outdoor spaces safe and inviting for students, staff, and the community.

The role offers 40 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and potential growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass State Background Check.
• Experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related work preferred.
• Ability to operate landscaping and grounds equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school grounds including lawns, gardens, athletic fields, parking lots, and walkways
• Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging.
• Maintain and prepare athletic fields for practices and events
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping tools
• Perform seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, snow and ice removal, and storm cleanup
• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and repairs
• Maintain landscaping including planting, pruning, and general upkeep of trees and shrubs
• Monitor grounds for safety hazards and report maintenance issues
• Assist facilities staff with outdoor event setup and special projects as needed
• Follow all district safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines
