The Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and nurses during operations and ensure sterile, ready equipment for every case. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adaptability to varied patient needs across age groups.

Required is a formal Surgical Technology program with NBSTSA certification, a high school diploma, and CPR. Preference given to those with CST and robotic-surgery competency after assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Certification through NBSTSA is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience preferred or completion of an internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and registered nurses during surgical operations.
• Prepare and maintain sterile trays and instruments for procedures.
• Handle tray inventory, instrument maintenance and MD requests.
• Provide decontamination and between-case turnover to ensure ready equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team for neonatal to geriatric care.
