AIMS College Prep Charter District in Oakland, CA seeks a Substitute Teacher to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver lesson plans, supervise students, and support learning across classrooms and common areas.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, California teaching credential or equivalent, ELL authorization, 2+ years of experience with students, and fingerprint/TB clearance.

• English Language Learner authorization required.
• Minimum 2 years working with students as a teacher or teaching assistant.
• Willingness to commit to a 3-year term with AIMS.

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunch areas, playgrounds, and other assigned locations.
• Provide instructional support, answer student questions, and facilitate activities.
• Communicate with school staff regarding students needs, attendance, or behavior issues.
• Follow all school and district policies to ensure student safety and compliance.
• Leave detailed notes for the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress.
