AIMS K-12 College Prep Charter District in Oakland seeks a dedicated Substitute Teacher to maintain a safe, engaging learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver lesson plans, supervise students, and support ongoing learning while adhering to district policies.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, a valid California teaching credential with ELL authorization, and at least two years of student-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required.
• Valid California Teaching Credential or equivalent.
• English Language Learner Authorization required.
• 2+ years working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, lunch areas, playgrounds, and other assigned locations.
• Provide instructional support, answer student questions, and facilitate activities.
• Follow school and district policies to ensure student safety and compliance.
• Leave detailed notes for the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and activities.
