Job summary

ALDI USA is hiring for a full-time store associate in California. The role involves delivering prompt customer service, operating the POS system, and following ALDI policies.

You will stock merchandise, support curbside orders, and help maintain store standards while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks. The position requires reliable attendance, basic arithmetic, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, and handheld devices.
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic arithmetic operations accurately.
• Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Work independently and with others.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
• Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Properly utilize the POS system to scan and process customer purchases and inform management of scanning concerns or errors.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly per merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and ensure timely delivery to customers’ vehicles from the staging area.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals.
• Comply with all company policies and processes and maintain a safe working environment.
