Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking a store associate to join our team. You will merchandise and stock products, handle cashiering, and maintain a clean store environment to enhance the customer shopping experience.

The role offers full-time status with average 30+ hours per week and starting wages at $18.50 per hour, with scheduled increases over five years. Responsibilities include operating the POS system, assisting customers, maintaining shelves, fulfilling curbside orders, and supporting management to hit

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary.
• Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products.
• Utilize POS system to scan and process purchases accurately and report scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional check lanes as required for efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly following merchandising planograms.
• Complete curbside pickup orders with accuracy and timely delivery to customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals.
• Assist store management in achieving total loss goals.
• Comply with all company policies and processes.
• Support a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment.
