Job summary

ALDI USA in Virginia is seeking a store associate to support merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You’ll collaborate with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service and a smooth shopping experience.

Starting wage is $19.50 per hour with full-time schedules, averaging 30+ hours weekly. Wage increases are planned in Year 2–Year 5 to $21.50, reflecting ALDI’s pay progression and commitment to employees.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering prompt, courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate a POS system and cash register accurately.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Experience in retail merchandising and stocking shelves.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, walk and perform duties for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Model and follow customer service principles and escalate as needed.
• Notify management of loss due to damaged or outdated products.
• Use POS to scan purchases and report scanning issues.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional checkout lanes to maintain efficiency.
• Stock shelves and display items per planogram.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards.
• Assist management in improving operational efficiency and reducing loss.
• Ensure safety by addressing hazards and maintaining equipment.
• Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
• Perform general cleaning to company standards.
