Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital is seeking a Certified Registered Central Service Technician to join its Sterile Processing Team. This full-time role supports operating rooms with prepared instruments, trays and sterile supplies in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must have CRCST certification and a high school diploma. Work is Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:30am, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth at Missouri's largest hospital.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification is required or clearly stated in the job qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes steam sterilizers and builds case carts for just-in-time delivery to operating rooms.
• Cleans, inspects, disinfects and sterilizes complex surgical instrumentation and power equipment.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Transports case carts and instruments to appropriate areas, ensuring no cross-contamination.
• Performs high-level disinfection for endoscopes and supports research instrumentation.
