Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist to join our team in Bon Air, VA. You will collect blood, urine and oral fluid specimens, process and package them for shipping, and act as an intermediary between the practice and our laboratory.

The ideal candidate is a certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience, plus strong customer service and computer skills. A valid driver’s license is required; background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field.
• 6+ months as a specimen collector or 1+ year medical support.
• 2+ years of customer service can substitute medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as liaison between practice and laboratory.
• Record patient information and order details.
• Resolve specimen concerns in the ordering portal.
• Order and maintain onsite collection supplies.
• Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens.
• Travel between facilities may be required.
