Job summary

Millennium Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a dedicated Specimen Collector Phlebotomist for a full-time schedule (Mon–Fri, 7am–1pm). You will collect blood, urine and saliva specimens, process and package them for shipping, and serve as the conduit between clinics and the laboratory.

Ideal candidates are certified phlebotomists with 1+ year field experience, plus strong customer service and computer skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field (experience may substitute certificate)
• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as liaison between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician orders and lab details
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable
• Drive between facilities as needed
