Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract in Lexington, SC. You will work in a resource classroom with middle and high school students, delivering individualized instruction and supporting personal and academic goals.

You will manage a caseload, develop and monitor IEP goals, collaborate with general education staff and families, and participate in IEP meetings and PD.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching certification-state-appropriate licensure required.
• Previous experience working with students in a special education/resource classroom setting.
• Familiarity with developing, implementing, and evaluating IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, aides, and families.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning space.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions to students with a variety of learning needs.
• Manage a caseload that includes both middle and high school students, creating differentiated lesson plans.
• Monitor student progress, update and document IEP goals, and report regularly to parents and stakeholders.
• Engage collaboratively with paraprofessionals, support staff, and related service providers.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP meetings as required.
• Advocate for student success, ensuring access to resources and classroom accommodations.
